The legacy left by James Allen Walter lives in 32 residences he designed and built across California. One is currently for sale in South Pasadena.
As noted in Domus, “There is no Wikipedia entry for James Allen Walter. No Google search yields any information about the man.” He cared less about fame and more about retaining creative control over the structures he designed. And with each one he created a moment of architectural heaven on earth.
Built in 1967 on a large private lot with views of mountains and greater Los Angeles in the much sought after South Pasadena School District, the Siodmak House is a rare architectural find.

Walter designed 2050 La Fremontia Street for Doreen and Geoffrey Siodmak (one of the great film noir directors.) The home is listed with an asking price of $2.25 million.
