There are house flippers, and then there’s MINI INNO, a design studio that separates itself from the humdrum renovation pack and defines what it truly means to reimagine a home.
MINI INNO is “a boutique interior design studio based in Southern California. Our heritage and upbringing gave us close ties to Eastern philosophies, but it was through the design process that has allowed us the opportunity to continually learn, cultivate and try to apply these concepts into material form. Combining organic materials like reclaimed wood and concrete against a soft white color palette, the residence they’ve named Koya House successfully represents their thoughtful approach.
Sited on a flat quarter-acre lot at 4470 Beauvais Ave in Mount Washington, the completely reworked three-bedroom, two-bath dwelling stands wrapped in a coat of smooth stucco. Wide concrete pavers, stairs, and lawn lead to various moments: a vegetable/herb garden surrounded by multiple citrus trees, a pad of decomposed granite with a fire pit perfect for nights outside with friends, and a future spot where you’ll consider adding a pool or an ADU.
